Equipment Rules

Fencers shall stand close to the spool when attaching and detaching themselves from the scoring apparatus.

Fencers shall switch off scoring apparatus when bouts are completed.

Lame Jackets shall NOT be worn when not using the scoring apparatus.

Kit shall be put away correctly after use.

Weapon tips shall NOT be dragged on the floor.

Failure to comply will result in fencers being charged for replacement and repair costs.

Example costs include:

  • Spool: £232
  • Batteries: £17
  • Sabre Lame Jacket: £166
  • Electric Foil: £51
