Ashton Tameside Fencing Club

Established 1951

Three Fencers

Established for sixty years, Ashton Tameside Fencing Club is the most successful competitive club outside London.

We have won over sixty national and international titles. Our members have fenced for all the home countries and have competed in:

  • Commonwealth Games,
  • World Cadet, Junior and Senior Championships,
  • World Student Games
  • and four Olympic Games.

Many members have gone on to become coaches and run clubs of their own throughout the country.

We are a well equipped club with many qualified coaches and an armourer on hand to help everyone reach their potential.

All are welcome at our friendly sessions: beginners, novices and experienced fencers; competitors, present and future; coaches of every level.

We can provide demonstrations and have a go sessions
